Maria Hernandez Pinto serves as a graduate communications fellow at the Im/migrant Well-Being Scholar Collaborative where she utilizes digital communications strategy to advocate for the immigrant community. As Programs and Communications Coordinator at the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement, Maria worked alongside unions and non-profit partners to advocate for Latinx workers through grant support, content creation, and project management. As a part of the research team at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, she conducted research and policy analysis, contributing to reports related to political corruption. At the California Domestic Workers Coalition, she utilized participatory action research and digital storytelling to contribute to state-level legislative campaigns. Maria graduated from Pitzer College with honors, receiving a B.A in Political Science and Foreign Languages in 2022 and is pursuing a master’s in Paralegal Studies from The George Washington University College of Professional Studies.
